After you register with Access & Inclusion, and your myAccess plan has been created, you will be able to view, share and download your plan from the myAccess Student Portal using your Murdoch student login credentials.
The portal also contains resources and important information that you will need to know regarding your plan and responsibilities. Instructions on how to use the portal will be shared with you once your plan is finalised.
Sharing your myAccess plan
When your myAccess plan is finalised, you need to share it with your unit coordinators for each of the units you are studying if you want your plan implemented. Your unit coordinator will be able to work with you, with support from the Access and Inclusion Office to meet your needs. You can also share your plan with your tutors or other staff as appropriate.
Requesting equipment or resources on your plan
If you have specialist equipment or resources on your plan you must request these via the myAccess Student Portal before the semester starts; please note Access & Inclusion require at least 5 university business day’s notice.
Your final exams
All final exams are scheduled during the defined exam period at the end of the semester or trimester. If your final exam is being run by the Exams Office, they will be aware of your myAccess plan and accommodations and will send you an email confirming your exam arrangements approximately 1 month before the corresponding exam period starts (or approximately 2 weeks prior to the deferred/supplementary exam periods).
Please use the exam timetable to check if the exams office is running your exam; exams are listed here approximately 6-8 weeks before the semester/trimester exam periods and approximately 2 weeks prior to the deferred/supplementary exam periods.
If you do not receive a confirmation email from the exams office by this time please contact the exams office immediately.
If you notice any discrepancy between your plan and the accommodations listed in the confirmation email please contact Access & Inclusion immediately.
Final exams not listed in the exam timetable may be run by your unit coordinator; please ensure you have shared your myAccess plan with your unit coordinator well in advance of the exam and contact them directly to confirm your exam adjustments.
Please also note there are strict cut off dates for changing exam accommodations. If you would like to review your exam accommodations, please contact Access & Inclusion(access@murdoch.edu.au) at least 1 month before the exam period starts.
