Vote by post

If you are unable to access the online voting for reasons such as being in remote locations without network access, or due to disability, you can apply for a postal vote.

We will send you a voting pack which includes:

  • reply paid envelope
  • ballot papers
  • instructions
  • election broadsheet with candidate statements and photos.

Application for postal vote closes in line with the close of nominations. Votes must be received by close of voting.

Voter roll applications

Entitlement to vote for the following ballots is not strictly specified within the information available for the electronic voting system:

  • the Queer Representative and
  • Indigenous Representative.

To be entitled to vote on the Queer Representative ballot, you must fill out the appropriate section on the Voter Application Form and return it to the Returning Officer before the deadline stated on the form.

If you have registered your status with the University as a student of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, you will be automatically included as an eligible voter within the system for the Indigenous Representative ballot. However, if you have not registered as a student of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, and are entitled to vote in the Indigenous Representative ballot, you must also fill out the appropriate section on the Voter Roll Application Form and return it to the Returning Officer before the deadline stated on the form.

Please be assured that this information is strictly confidential and will not be entered into your student record. Once the voting process has been completed, this information will be removed from the voting system and deleted.
